General ledger reporting
I would like to have more reporting options in General Ledger
89 votesWe have included the ability to replace the stock reports with custom-designed reports, which means that you can now default the reporting to your customized reports directly, rather than running a special report from outside the Denali modules.
We also are adding more custom formats to be available for purchase on our Cougarmtn.com shopping website!

Payroll Direct Deposit stub email
We would like to be able to select an option that would automatically email the direct deposit stub to employees at the email listed on their PR employee management field.

Add “Pay Period” to the Prepare Payroll Edit Report
Add “Pay Period” to the Denali Prepare Payroll Edit Report. Currently this report does not show the “Pay Period” the user selected and it would be helpful to catch or later see, especially if look back because of issues with period specific benefits/deductions.

Print all of Customer notes when print
When print customer notes, it is not printing all of the notes. Please increase the notes print field to allow for VERY long notes.
11 votesThe Customer Master report in the reports menu has been updated to print all of the notes if you select to. This was finished on 3/18/2016 and released shortly after that.

Payroll department report needs to include all benefit codes
payroll department code report needs to include all pay received by employee. . .additions to gross are presently not included.

Need the ability in payroll reporting to run a history report showing only the gross wages
Often I need to run a report only showing the totals for each employee per pay rate, or for one pay rate in particular. I don't need all of the other information like Tax Summary, Ben/Ded Summary etc. We need to be able to customize reports to show only what we want to see. When we purchased the software we were told the reports were customizable like Quick Books and this is not the case!

Our history report can be ran in many different ways, based upon the parameters chosen for detailed, condensed, and summary reports. Our reports can be extensively customized through Crystal reports as well. For more information on this, please contact your account representative at 1-800-388-3038.

The new AP Debit Report needs to be sorted by due date, not by invoice number. Or give us the option to pick which we prefer.
The new AP Debit Report was changed in the latest update and now I'm missing invoices that need to be paid, because it doesn't sort on Due Date. Bring back the old report or give us the option to choose what we sort on. URGENT!!!

Please try the AP aging report. It is the same report that you used to run under the AP debt report. I hope this helps.

Advance Report Group Codes
Would like to be able to select multiple Advance Report Groups for reporting.

This capability has been included in Denali, beginning with version 4.2.

Payroll check register for history
Add ability to run check register report for posted (historical) data in payroll.

Made options for date ranges in PR History Report be pertinent.
Why do you have options like "Next Week, Next 4 weeks and Next Month" for the PR History Report?

These options were selected due to the fact that Payroll figures and taxes are determined by calendar year, rather than fiscal period. A custom date range can also be used in lieu of periods to obtain exactly the time period needed.

Denali Payroll is not up to par of Cougar Mtn Pro
The payroll reports and the check stubs do not give as much detailed information as the Pro program did. Further, it is not as user friendly in options to get the type of report that you want. I had a custom report made that was rendered totally useless when an update was done because it had to be uninstalled and installed and the link was lost. Not smart!

Denali Payroll was written in the most up-to-date programming. As a result, there are many changes from the old programming code and formatting.
We may have a more usable format for you at our Cougarmtn.com website for purchase and download, or your Account Representative can get you a quote on modifying the check stub to your specific needs at 800-388-3038.

non-inventory codes
I think it would be handy to be able to print out a report of non-inventory codes by register.

A list of Non-Inventory codes is printable through the Non-Inventory Codes function in the Sales Options Menu. You can print all non-inventory Codes in the report, or select a range of them. Non-Inventory Codes are not specifically related to any register in the system, and are all available for use on any register in your Denali system.

Having the default customer name change based on type of payment
I think it would be handy to have the reports show the default customer name based on type of payment. For example all of our reports show like cash sale for the customer name regardless if it was paid by credit. Could this be done? I think having something like credit/debit sale would really help those that have touchy accounting needs.

Denali can be configured many different ways, and can be set to require the entry of a customer name and information on each sale, if desired. Feel free to contact our Technical Support or Training department for more information on configuring the Sales defaults.

I would like to see the automatic file of reports to different folder than programs.
It is great that a pdf is saved of the current report that you print. Unfortunately it posts to the Program file, which our IT department wants to not give users permission to change. It would really help if those reports would go to the document folder. He tells me it is a security issue.
1 voteThanks for the suggestion! We currently have an option to send the report to a different location if needed.
After you select the report that you need, enter the report criteria and then select ok. On the next screen, select the Text File button and then select .pdf from the drop down. You will also see a box where you can enter the path and file name c:/Balance Sheet (for example). This will save the report on your C: drive.

AR statements add payer name
Payer number already shows on the statements. The payer name is not pushed out to be available on the report. Please at least push the payer name out to the statements so it can be added by those who desire it.

Customer Master Report
Two updates ago all users (including the supervisor) had the rights to run the Customer Master Report taken away. If you go into the settings and try to grant access to this report it does not stick. Without this report it is quite difficult to look up customers by addresses.
1 voteWe have tested this issue on several different systems and verified it functions correctly. There have been no other reports of this happening. We are sorry you are experiencing this issue, but this may be better resolved by submitting a Technical Support ticket for diagnosis.
