CMS Order Entry Module
When entering an order in order entry, there should be an option to select a printer when you print and save an order.
4 votesUnder the Set Up Sales Layout screen, you can choose a printer for the invoice type and set a pdf printer as the default for that invoice. That will give you the option to print from the pdf or save/email the invoice.

Payroll - Save 3 years history within current company
When we need to close out payroll for the year, we have to create another company to save the payroll history for the employees. It would be great if we could save the history for a few years under the employee profile and be able to print it as needed. (Similar to the general ledger audit trail and the AP history.)
4 votesWith the release of payroll in Denali, users now have five years of employee history in their current company. There is no longer a need for the history company every year.

Forced Password change for Credit Card Processing was Implemented incorrectly for all CMS Users
The requirement to force the password change every 90 days is a problem for users not processing credit cards. This requirement to change the password every 90 days should be tied to a Module Preferences object that setups users to process credit cards in a Yes or No format. If set to No, then no forced password change and no ability to use CMS to process credit cards. Now I have a $120 software mod that stops this and requires CMS to do each install of an upgrade I have in the future which must be a money loser for…
4 votesIn order to comply with PA-DSS regulatory rules regarding credit card handling, we were forced to implement this change in our CMS Professional products. This is due to the nature of the programming. It ensures the default level of data security is in compliance with regulatory agencies and most customers only find it to be a minor inconvenience. The good news is that Denali does not have this requirement. compliance has been handled a different way due to the more modern database and program design. Denali can be configured to handle security many different ways, and thus is more flexible and customizable while still remaining secure. AR should have an "Over Credit Limit Report" available.
This requirement is just common sense for any AR system to have this report available for management to review credit status of customer balance. It should also offer a near credit limit option for the run to see the customers that are coming close to their limits for discussions with sales staff.
4 votesThere are options in the Sales Module Preferences Salesperson codes that prohibit charges over the credit limit. Ensure the “Credit Limit Override” box is unchecked.

Switch between an invoice and a hold
Give the option to switch between holds and invoices ready for billing. Currently if an invoice is started as a hold, once you select the done button; the invoice automatically prints, can this setting be turned off?
4 votesThis is accomplished by saving without printing. Depending on how you have OE setup, this can be easy or a little difficult to accomplish.

In Sales Reports, Post a summary of each account
In the previous versions of Cougar Mountain, when I posted Order Entry, I got a summary total of amounts posted to each account. Denali posts as line items. Now I have to go thru pages and pages and add up each account for a total. This is very time consuming. I liked the way the old Cougar posted reports.

Automatic posting of audit reports to subsidiary ledgers
I have worked w/many different Accounting software from Peachtree, AS400, MAS90, Profitfab, Blackbaud's Financial Edge and Quickbooks and have never had to manually tell the audit reports to post to each of the subsidiary ledgers.
4 votesIf the module integration is turned on in Denali, they will post to the general ledger and other affected modules automatically when a batch is posted.

CMS PR posting to Denali should allow summary data option
The bridge transfer of PR posting data should not be limited to detailed only. That create numerous unnecessary GL postings to the various accounts when summary data should suffice.

CMS Accounts Payable Correction
When you enter a bill for immediate electronic payment, once the electronic box is checked off, you are not allowed to make an entry on the check number line. When you go to post, you get an error message telling you that the check number can’t be blank. In order to post you must go back to enter bills and uncheck this box, put a check number in and recheck the box.

Sales Screen - Error
When you want to view a customer’s account while in the OE screen, this is what happens.
In the OE screen, type the customer number, hit F5 lookup, click view. What then comes up on screen is the very first customer, alphabetically in your customer list. The information on the screen belongs to that first customer, except for their customer number and history. G/L Auto Generate Due to/Due From Entries
The G/L module should have the option to automatically generate the Due to/Due From entries just like the AP and BR modules do.
3 votesThese types of transactions can be batch-processed either through recurring allocations, or through the Generate Due To/from function in the Denali Fund Journal Menu.

Non- payment addition into payroll
Yes need a Non-Payment Addition for non-monetary Addition to Gross for W2 purposes ie Personal mileage, trips paid by company, health insurance benefits required by obamacare to be an addition to W2's These are NOT an actual check/ payment to employee.
3 votesThese additions should be set up as a benefit code with appropriate shelter codes applied, and then attached to the employee. Technical support can assist with setting up these benefits correctly.

AR - Stopping Sales from Selling to a customer
I would love to see a box that you can check to stop sales from selling to a customer. If collections sends a demand letter sales will be flagged but there is no way to stop them from selling to this customer.
Also same with inactive account. To me inactive means they are not active, haven't done business with in a while and need to update before sales can be made. Also if I send a demand letter to a customer it will flag sales but they can still sell too. We have to send an email out to sales…3 votesThanks for using Customer Voice!
There actually IS a way to prohibit sales to a customer. You will want to edit the customer details in the AR Customer Maintenance window. You can set what tender types are allowed for sales for the customer. To prohibit sales to a specific customer, uncheck all the tender types so the system will not accept any payment. This will prohibit sales from being made to that customer, and an error message will appear when the customer is entered in a sales screen.
