How to install Denali

Installation Services are always available from our qualified Technical Support Representatives, and can be purchased on a yearly basis, or individually using purchased support time.

A Denali backup should always be performed on all organizations prior to installing a new or updated version.

For first-time Denali installations, all components, including the Microsoft SQL databases should be installed.  The SQL portion will only need to be installed on the server or primary computer.  Only the Denali components will need to be installed on secondary client computers.  Once installed, the client computer sserver location will need to be changed to reflect the computer or server that houses the SQL Database.

 

For update installations, follow the recommended instructions for the individual update.

Many times, it will be necessary to completely uninstall the Denali program through the Windows Programs and Features control in Windows Control Panel.  If this is the case, only the Denali component update should be installed, but the MS SQL portion of the program should be disregarded, as it will generally not change.

The Navigation and Organization databases will always need to be updated after installing any new version of the program, unless otherwise instructed.
